This Photo of The Wallis "Cub" tractor was captured on farm land just outside the city of Calgary Alberta CanadaTime
A friend and I had been traveling the back roads and exploring the farm land around Calgary when we came across this tractor, it just so happened to be close to sunset. We spent some time capturing the tractor from close and from all different angels as the sunset and the light change quicklyLighting
The sun was sinking fast and the light changed very quickly, between my friend and I we captured some great shots with the help of mother nature and her great lighting.Equipment
CAMERA: Nikon NIKON D600 LENS: AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8G ED ISO: 320 I had been shooting in an old building an must of forgot to change my ISO back to ISO 100 APERTURE f/22 EXPOSURE TIME 0.025s (1/40)Inspiration
I love coming across old farm machinery when out and about. the look and the patina of the old equipment is usually great for taking photos.Editing
I can't remember what I did in post. SorryIn my camera bag
I run with Nikon D600 for this shot but now have a D810 with 15-30 Tamron 24-70 Nikon 70-200 Nikon VRII 50mm 1.8 Nikon and a carbon fibre tripod. I pack this and more into my f-stop Loka camera bag ( best camera bag ever )Feedback
Advice for getting photos like this would be: get out and explore around your local farm land. If the light is not the best mark down the location and go back again later and at different times of the year. Shoot from all angles as this angel is pointing away from the setting sun.
