Location
This photo was taken in Port Alice, BC. Located on Vancouver Island (north). A hidden oasis.Time
To be quite honest I don't know the exact time of day. I am thinking it was late morning, early afternoon. I just remember being amazed at the colors and how beautiful it looked. It was truly mesmerizing. I remember looking around wondering why no one else was standing there in awe with me.Lighting
The lighting is all natural in this photo. It looked just as the photo shows. I may never see it like this again. But that is okay..I have the photos to prove I saw it.Equipment
I have a canon eos , handheld with a sigma lens. I have no fancy equipment, although there are times I wish I did.Inspiration
I am inspired everyday with where I live. Each day brings a new image on the ocean, whether it be from the fog, low hanging clouds, sunshine or the setting sun. It constantly changes. I am always in amazement and awe of the beauty here. It is one of the few places left that is still fairly untouched by man, it is true nature at its finest. I could sit on the beach and watch this view all day long. It brings new images constantly.Editing
No post processing here.In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment, and carry no bag. I go on a hope and a whim with my camera that I will capture that special moment.Feedback
My advice is to maybe not over think things. I am a fan of the au natural shots. I don't have photo programs or a fancy camera. I see beauty in everything. And then moments like this photo happen. Everything I needed was given to me by Mother Nature, the setting, the lighting, the mood etc. Having lots of patience is also key. Sometimes if you sit long enough and wait the photo comes to you.
