I took this photo at my home , in jeddah -Saudi arabiaTime
I took this one at 10:00 p.m , 5/3/2014 , I like taking photos late at night to keep distractions to a minimum .Lighting
I used the available light light in the room , which was 4 ceiling lights from the 4 direction , that gave me a well balanced light for my setup . I needed an exposure of 3 sec. but that wasn't a problem because my subject isn't moving and I'm using a tripod .Equipment
this was shot on a Canon EOS 550D , using a Sigma 70-300 APO DG MACRO on macro mode , @ f/5.6 , ISO 100 and 3.2 sec exposure . I used a tripod to keep my camera steady. colored papers and a stabler .Inspiration
I was experimenting with papers , trying to create diffrent shapes and lines in each image .Editing
I used adobe Lightroom for white balance , saturation and vibrance adjustments , and for sharpness and cropping .In my camera bag
I usually have a canon 70D , canon 550D , Sigma 610 flash , Sigma 70-300 , Tamron 90mm macro , Canon 50mm 1.8 and 18-55. A tripod and 2 16GB memory cards.Feedback
try diffrent folding styles , even a slight change in the folds , the colors or the background can make an entirely diffrent photo , try balancing the light between the background and the subject , a well exposed background is essential in this type of images in my opinion . there is no limit to the images you can get , and that's the thing I love the most about paper abstracts .
