The lighting in this image was fairly even and soft due to the fact the basin a 90 foot vertical drop and is surrounded by tall trees and other vegitation.Equipment
I used the Canon 5D MKII dslr camera with a Canon 24-70mm F/2.8 lens mounted on a Manfrotto tripodInspiration
I love the power and beauty of water especially when the water cascades over a 90 foot vertical drop.Editing
The only post processing done on this image was a crop and slight adjustment to exposure and contrast.In my camera bag
I have two Canon 5D MKII bodies, one Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 USM L IS lens, one Canon 24-70mm F/2.8 USM L and one Canon 17-40mm F/4.0 USM and two Canon 580 EXII speed lights.Feedback
Be prepared to hick a long distance for images similar to this one. Make sure you use a tripod so you can use slower shutter speeds if you want to capture the silky smooth look in the falling water. I circular polirising filter will also help reduce any glare in the green foliage.
