I love this photo because of the contrast between the dark and furious sky, and lush, green, peaceful landscape. This is a fantastic photo! Great job!

Th clouds are amazing, the contrast with the greenery is great! Its a very refreshing open landscape with no too much going on, like it!

Location
This photo was taken in Girvan NSW Australia, from my verandah on top of a mountain. Most of my photos are taken from this location.Time
It was taken at about 5pm in February. Being summer the storms tend to build up fast from all directions.Lighting
I used no filters and noticed that it had gotten dark really fast. I look out of my window and noticed the dark clouds moving over, I just grabbed my camera and only got several shots of this cloud formation. Within minutes it was not as dramatic.Equipment
I used my Nikon D7000. Lens was 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. No filter or tripod was used.Inspiration
I love taking photos of sunsets, sunrises but storms and lighting are my favourite. Being located on top of a mountain allows for me to take so many different photos without leaving my home. When I took this photo I didn't really think it was anything special. I just saw the clouds and though 'what the heck, lets just take some shots'. I actually left this photo alone for several months because I didn't think it was going to be anything great. When I was looking back over some photos I realised it looked so much better on the screen then what it did in real life. This is when I decided to process it and see how it comes up.Editing
I adjusted in Camera Raw first and bought the shadows up and the lights down. Adjusted the contrast, increased sharpness, and increased Clarity. I then used Photoshop finish this photo. I added a little more contrast to the clouds to darken them up, adjusted the levels and added a little vibrance and saturation. In my camera bag
I normally carry another lens, some filters, which I rarely use and a small remote control.Feedback
My advice is to keep taking photos even if you don't think they are going to be any good. There are so many pictures that I have taken that I thought would come up great but didn't. And there is this picture which I didn't look at for months because I didn't think at the time it was anything special.
