Location
This photo was taken while sitting at my balcony at home, having my morning coffee when I noticed the caterpillar slowly making its way thru the geranium leaves.Time
Time of the day was around 10:00 am on a cool sunny February day.Lighting
It was taken under pure daylight...No artificial lighting was used.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon EOS 550D, with an EFS 18/55 1:4- 5.6 IS II Canon Zoom Lens and M250 Raynox Macroscopic Lens, at 5.6 Aperture, ISO 400, shutter speed 1/400... No tripod was used.Inspiration
My Raynox M250 Macroscopic lens had just arrived and I decided to start my journey into the "Macro" world, which I had grown quite an interest lately. I picked him up and placed him on a dried (dead) anthorium leaf where it posed for about 10 shots. The way it moved gave me the inspiration to call it "The Cuddly Cat" Apparently it loved the idea too ard cuddled around the leaf to give me this best shot.Editing
No post processing .. Just the original outcome, with a beautiful bokeh in the background...In my camera bag
Canon EOS 550D body,EFS 18/55 1:4-5:6 ISII zoom lens, EFS 55/250 IS, EF 100mm 1:2.8 USM Macro, EFS 50mm 1:1.8 prime (plastic fantastic), EFS 10/18mm 1:4.5-5.6 IS STM wide angle, Raynox M250 macroscopic lens, filters, a spider type tripod, spare cards, RC 6 remote shutter control shooter, a pen and a note pad to take notes.,Feedback
I never thought this was going to be hand-picked to be featured on the ViewBug Wall and that I was going to receive an honor that, as the editors say, most ViewBug members never receive, but it has happened to me and for astounding 3+ times! The planning and design of the setting was authentic. Finding the dead leaf, placing the guy on top of it, putting it back on to its place again and again was real work. No pain no gain. One really has to be very patient to finally come up with a good and satisfying shot. Then of course comes the reward of being appreciated... Thanks ViewBug, I am really honored...
