Location

This photo was taken at an old castle Loevestein in Woudrichem, Netherlands

Time

Sunset at 6 o'clock in the evening

Lighting

Before the sun starts I have my composition and institutions ready. As the sunset starts, I do not have to be concerned much more with my camera and I can teach me to capture the colors.

Equipment

Canon 7D, canon 15-85 lens, B&W pol.filter,LEE filter 3 stops, tripod, remote control

Inspiration

The combination of the old castle with the warm colors give a fairytale feeling.

Editing

My standard workflow. The photos import into Lightroom and add the three photos together in Photoshop to get. 32bit tiff file Then the 32 bit file back to Lightroom where I bring the colors and lighting in balance. For the latest adjustmens , I'm going back to Photoshop where I do the last fine tunning with adjustment layers. ( Dodge&Burn, clarity, vibrance).

Feedback

Think well before you make the pictures and what the end result should look like. Take the time to adjust the settings of the camera and see which filters you want to apply for the final result. Shoot in Raw and M mode, then you know what you're doing and not come home with a lucky shot. If you are technically makes a good picture, you can achieve a good result with not too much editing. In this way, shooting even more fun! You learn from your mistakes, how can i make the photo better the next time, creating your own style and your photos are getting better.
