Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my back yard.

Time

Afternoon as best I can remember.

Lighting

All of my images are natural light so whatever mother nature wants to share with me is what I use.

Equipment

Hand held Fuji Finepix S5200

Inspiration

This is an old ice shack that was used before electric came to the area which was in the 60's. The building is on her last legs but with so much history I try and take as many images as I can. The door being open just caught my eye and once I started framing the shot I knew I had something.

Editing

I am a novice and the only post-processing I do is some adjusting to exposure if needed.

In my camera bag

My camera, batteries, a cleaning cloth for my lens.

Feedback

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan between Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. The weather here is unpredictable and the skies are like a watercolor painting. I live in so much beauty that leads me to landscape photography but the simple man made things that are around - if you look at them with your creative eye and decide what you want to convey, you cannot go wrong.
