This is nothing more powerful and strong than the bond between a Mama bear and her cubs. In this photo that I took through my kitchen window, Mama bear is standing over one of her jeuvenile bear cub lying in the grass as she stares right at me as I take this photo through my streaked kitchen window. I just froze and held my breath. There were actually 3 jeuvenile cubs, one lying on the grass under Mama, the brown cub behind Mama bear where the fence is and the other one was just a little over past my camera view. I just stood still where I was and didn't move until she and her jeuvenile cubs left. By the way, the cub you see lying on the grass has mange which has caused it to loose quite a bit of fur on the torso.

Ironically, I was more scared about seeing a bear at the beaver pond than seeing a bear in my backyard. That's because at least I am behind my 1/4 inch glass patio door. LOL!!
