Love the dark, moody sky with the brightness of the waves crashing along the shore and pier. Wonderful clarity in the image.

The photo was token in Rome (Ostia) while i was out for a walk looking at sea and weatherTime
There was about 10:30 AM during winter, the incoming heavy weather was totally changing the light.Lighting
There was a strange natural light filtered by dark clouds. I Think the most interesting aspect of this photo is the strange and dark light.Equipment
I used a nikon D3200 Camera with the 18-55 kit lens with a Polaroid CPL filter.Inspiration
I consider this a very lucky photo. The light, the weather and my personal state of mind, all matches.Editing
This is an HDR from a single RAW. When I decide to use this kind of post-processing I pay serious attention to histogram in camera preview. This must be well centered with no extreme peak (depends from subject, lighting and desired result). When you work in this way the photo in the preview could appear a little flat or unsuitable, do not worry this is what you need! Now you can produce different exposition during post processing and use them in you HDR SWIn my camera bag
My camera, one or two lens. My favorite, now, is Sigma 17-70mm but when I want to enjoy I often use Sayang 14mm. After this I put filter, battery, sd cards, a cleaning kit....Feedback
I don't think I can advice someone!!! :) However go out and take the photo is best advice always. Gear is useful, know photography rules is important but you need to be in the right place during right time to take a good photo.
