When I first enter your portfolio, I was greeted by this creature. Its an amazing capture! This looks more like a fox than a wolf pup. The lighting is so right and perfect to give details. Love it! :-0 Woof!

Location
It was taken at a Wolf Preserve in South Salem, New York. They had new wolf pups that were being socialized so they could grow up to be ambassadors and educate people about wolves.Time
It was in the afternoon, around 2PM or so.Lighting
Yes! This was taken inside a little hut right when the little pup looked up at the window. She only looked up for a second so I was delighted I caught the exact moment. The lighting and expression of the pup's face lends so much emotion to this photo. It was as if she was contemplating the plight of her species and wondering if they were going to make it in the United States.Equipment
I used my faithful old Canon EOS 20D without a flash for this shot. I handheld the camera, as always, to give me more versatility in being able to move around. I had my 28-105mm zoom lens on and put a film speed of 400 to be able to capture the dusky feel without a flash.Inspiration
The little wolf pup inspired me! She was so sweet and precious and unaware of what the future held. I wanted to get something more "serious" than the regular puppy play photos. I wanted to capture something deeper to draw in the viewer. Alawa did that perfectly and without any prompting.Editing
No post processing at all.In my camera bag
Today I carry two SLR's, my Canon 70D and SL1. I have a variety of zoom lenses, a macro lens, and a couple of S lenses for landscapes. I also have a Speedlight 580EX flash and several filters. I never leave the house without a camera no matter what so if I am just going to work or someplace one would not bring a big camera bag, I will have a point and shoot handy. I have a PowerShot 260 SX and an ELPH. I've taken some awesome photos with these little cameras and have been able to blow them up too. Never leave home without a camera!!!Feedback
When shooting children or animals you have to keep the camera on them at all times and snap away unabashedly. They move quickly and change facial expression in a split second. If you want to really nail that special shot, just watch them and be ready to catch that perfect moment.
