Lovely work here. Great control of light and the shadows are great in their pattern. You caught an emotion.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a dark room in my home with my granddaughter sitting thoughtfully after finishing homework. Ive always loved the vintage lamp and when I peeked in, the sight was amazing. I inmediately grabbed my camera, turned the exposure down and began shooting,

Time

It was taken approx 8 pm.

Lighting

Didn't use any lighting other than the lamp in photo. Did turn exposure down

Equipment

Nikon Coolpix L100 on Portrait Mode

Inspiration

As I peeked in on her, the sight was just what I wanted... the shadows are awesome, her expression fit the mood and the time was perfect.

Editing

Basic editing, sharpen, contrast.

In my camera bag

I am strictly an amateur photographer and only use my Nikon L100 and once in a while I use my Nikon P100. Both cameras just bridges to SLR. I sure love it though. Nikon has made photography so much easier to learn.

Feedback

I would advise capturing the moment, I find staged photos, and I do that alot, never have the same interest that the "in the moment" photos do. Interest without words is a great shot for me.
