Shiprock Mountain The Morning View

Shiprock Mountain is a sacred place as Navajo Native Americans consider it. It is the point of interest of photographers and mountain climbers. Yet mountain climbers are strictly prohibited to climbed in this awesome and so much beautiful place. It was a subzero degree when my husband and I reached the place. Our car didn't make near to the rock. So I packed my gadgets and I bundled up thinking that we might come again to this place in long time. So tricky because when I look at this Shiprock Mountain it was just near and seeing it in a distance it was very big. However, I went to walk for 2 miles and suddenly the sun showed up and poking light to the Shiprock. I was hypnotized with its beauty, I stopped and get my camera out in my pack bag and put it into my tripod. As beautiful as it is I got the rock under the certain light condition like a ship lost in the horizon and it is how they came up with the word SHIPROCK.
