Location
I took this photo in my village Kanalia Volou, a very small village in the center of Greece. We went there for 3 consecutive days with my friend Vladimir for fishing at the lake Karla.Time
Well.. I am mostly a night photographer so I took this photo at the night. I take photos at the dark because I adore this high contrasty look thas is created from the flashes.Lighting
I also like to shoot night images because I want to totally control the light source. In this image I used three flashes, the two of them was pointing at the backround and the third was pointing at the model. You have to know that "phos" means light in the Greek language and "graphia" means writing. Haha I am Greek... I had to mention the etymology of the word photography.Equipment
I took this photo with a Nikon d600 and a 50mm lens. I used 3 external flashes. The two of them was bare and the third was into a softbox.Inspiration
I was inspired from the silence. My model had sat on the bench watching the endless darkness. I didn't ask him more than that. I took some photos of him while he was relaxing and this is one of them.Editing
I usually use Photoshop to retouch my photos. Here I also use Nik Color Efex, a plug in for Photoshop. In my camera bag
Well, the thing that I always pack first in my bag, is the Nikon 50mm 1.8G lens. I can't leave without this lens. I also carry everywhere my 3 flashes, one Nikon and two Yongnuo, triggers, two softboxes two light stands, some coloured gels, 2 memory cards, a tripod and of course my camera, nikon d600.Feedback
The more you are dealing with the strobist photography, the more you become better. There is not something specific to advise someone. The only thing that I can say is "go out, take photos, learn to handle the light".
