I took this photo in my backyard.Time
It was 2:10 PM when I took this photo.Lighting
The weather was terrible and very dark due to the low black clouds. I placed this RC toy car in the darkest area I found, under the entrance stairs to my apartment. I wanted to simulate night time.Equipment
I used Olympus camera E3 with f:2 50 mm Macro Zuiko Digital lens on the Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
I wanted to simulate action shot. My grandson's Rc Hummer was obvious choice to do that.Editing
Original smoke from my cigarete was not thick enough to simulate thick fog, so I cloned some parts to get it thick enough. Also, I darken already dark image. Some sharpening was applied and some details added with Topaz Details filter.In my camera bag
As I'm growing older I try to lug as little as possible. Usually it is Olympus E3 or E520 body with 12-60 mm and 50-200 mm Zuiko Digital zooms, but it depends what I want to get photos off. Sometimes Zuiko 50 mm macro and cat-eye 500 mm f:8 are with me too. I don't like to use flash, so it stays at home and I have in body flash on both my cameras anyway.Feedback
It is hard to tell other people what to do. If you get an idea for the image, try to do you best to get it as you like it or your idea demand it. Try to get several images and pick the best one to your taste. Good luck and enjoy making your ideas live.
