This majestic Bull Elk lives in the 546 acre wild like park surrounded by a ten foot chain link fence. The park is Lone Elk Park located in South St. Louis County Missouri. The park got its name because in 1948 the park was stocked with a heard of elk but in 1958 the Federal Government acquired the park and destroyed the wild life except for one Lone Elk who evaded their hunters.
