When I first saw this waterfall at sunset, it was pretty. But in the morning with the sun hitting the red rocks, highlighting the algae, and glistening off the water, it was spectacular! This is Boot Ranch outside of Fredericksburg, Texas.

Bored while the adults were decorating for my son's wedding, one of our precious flower girls kept climbing into the window to watch for DART trains.

The little Mandarin duck at the pond seems to have moved on to explore new places but I still have hundreds of photos of him!

Taken with my iPhone so not one of my better shots but I do love that she enjoys my reading material.

Can't help but stop and watch these crazy little ghost crabs on the beach of San Jose Island in Port Aransas (St. Jo's).

I don't normally take butterfly shots but this one passed through my view-finder and it was pretty up against the sea of green.

Kildeers are not my favorite bird but this one did give me a lovely little song and dance in the driveway after a morning rain.

Pretty sure this owl is smarter than I am. I also think it can read my mind.
