This waterfall is simply breathtaking. Its size is overwhelming but its shape and way of flowing water is what makes it outstanding for me. The frozen ice on the wall made it look like a church or cathedral from the inside with all fine details placed behind the altar. Then of course there is this foreground. A hole in the ice above the moving water from the Skogafoss. In the shape of Iceland (minus Westfjords). The ice was moving a bit. You could count 1-2-3 and the ice got lifted up a bit from the water making the outline of the crack look this bright. All I had to do is wait for that moment and push the shutter then. I combined this foreground exposure with 3 other ones for a focus stack. The last exposure being a longer one for the water (around 1 sec, I think).
