I waited almost an year to do this shot. I just needed a perfect clean sky, a lens that produces a nice sun star (nikon 20 1.8) and a beautiful model in a red dress.

I do like the way you've shot this image. I think the position of the human element is in a great transition point to reach over the salt flats. Just personal of me but I find having a woman dressed in a full length dress quite strange in that environment, is that the point to create the abstract. I know many do this but pardon my ignorance I don't understand why could you explain?

Hello, thank you for spending a lot of time watching at the image and take also the extra time to leave a comment! I believe the dress fits the scene because it helps giving the idea of hope and loneliness with 2 main factors: the transparency and the shape giving importance to her figure (that looks pregnant)

I like the thorough approach you took in preparation to take this shot. The black and white and contrasts fit the mood very well. I also have a question on how you achieved this sharpness - was it a result of focus stacking from multiple images or did it come out as a single exposure?

I like everything about this shot- the starkness of the setting, the sharpness of the image from front to back, the sunb star, the model in the perfect 1/3 spot, the low level of the sun, the shadow. The perfection of the shadow. This is the work of a photographer who understands light, composition, texture, setting and mood. Fantastic! And hard prove upon with the same elements, including time.
