The lake certainly has its charms , perfect blue water, black lava rock, high cliffs and many troll like rock formations. This shot was taken from a geothermal cave below the cliff area. Kleifervatn is the largest lake on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The lake has no visible water coming in or going out as most of its water comes and leaves underground. One of my favorite stops on our tour of Iceland.
