Arriving in Tanzania late in the season, my guide informed me that I most likely wouldn't be able to see the wildebeest migration. No sooner had he said this, than a rushing tide of bellowing animals flowed around us and completely blocked our vehicle on all sides. The black and white of the photo truly speaks to my imagination of what this sight may have been like 70 years ago.
