Probably not everyone knows the fact Venus is third brightest object on our night sky after the Sun and Moon. Venus traditionally foreshadows the sunrise and also follows it right after the sunset.
In Ancient Greece Venus was called Phosphorus, a name meaning “Light-Bringer”. Interesting that the evening Venus was considered to be another planet and called it Heosphoros — meaning “Dawn-Bringer”.
This photo was captured on Bali (Indonesia) just before the sunrise from the peak of Mt. Batur (1,717 m) with a view of Abang (2,151 m). To the left from it is a dazzling Venus, very close to it is Saturn and Scorpius Constellation.
