I ventured up the Cavehill earlier this week to capture the 'Super Moon' The steep hillside overlooks Belfast City in Northern Ireland. It was getting dark just before 5pm and I took a wrong turn on the way leading to me struggle up muddied steep slopes. I was more concerned about my gear than anything else. Thankfully I made it to the right spot just in time for the heavy clouds to part. I wanted to include the entire cityscape rather than a perfect shot of the moon which has been captured a million times. I was surprised at the starburst effect which I wasn't expecting at all. The cloud highlights really add impact in this image. The RAW file was processed in Lightroom.
