It's a wonderful photograph! Very National Geographic like. It's our imagination that makes us think "oh dear"..... Knowing what comes next for that poor cute creature, unless the snake is full lol ~ there's always hope....

Beautiful picture. Focus perfect. (Sorry some people are being so rude about it). I love animals ans have kept both rodents and snakes as pets. This incredible detail is what I aspire to in my photos and this motivates me to work harder at it.

Love the sharpness and focus on it, great moment and great shot. Don't mind the animal lovers and their comments, it's only mother nature doing her job.

It's a fantastic photo and suited the Photo contest for 'FOOD CHAIN' ...
I'm wondering though, if this photo, was a set up in a reptilian tank .. In which I do think it's very sad, If this was in the wild, then, that is the nature of the photo.
I love all creatures and I know, they need to eat, as we as humans need to eat and most humans eat meat (dead animals) Including me.
Once again, I'll say, that the photo is of great quality, with sharp clean details and Congratulations on being one of the winning finalists, in the FOOD CHAIN photo contest.
