The male Superb Fairywren (also known as the superb blue wren or blue fairywren), is a striking bird with his bright blue colouring. They are found across south eastern Australia, and although relatively common in some areas, they are often difficult to spot due to their size, and their shyness, usually disappearing into dense foliage to hide as soon as they are spotted. Luckily for me, this beautiful boy was happy to sit and pose for a photo.
