The RMS Mülheim wrecked on the Cornish coast. The story goes like this. On 22 March 2003, RMS Mülheim was on a voyage from Cork, Republic of Ireland to Lübeck, Germany. The ship ran aground between Land's End and Sennen Cove, during which time there was "moderate visibility and fog patches". On investigation, it was discovered that the chief officer—who had been on watch at the time—had caught his trousers in the lever of his chair when trying to get up, causing him to fall and rendering him unconscious. By the time he regained consciousness, RMS Mülheim was already bearing down on the shoreline. Although the Sennen Lifeboat and Land's End Coastguard Cliff Team were able to reach the wreck quickly, the six-man Polish crew of the vessel were airlifted to safety by a search and rescue helicopter. The members of the crew were treated for shock at the Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station.

Very nice photo. Interesting to view...but, without the written explanation, i am not sure if this is a real boat...or a toy boat. Hard to judge perspective. Having said that, i can't think of how the photographer could give us the proper perspective without damaging the solumn mood.Enjoyable viewing just the same though....

Amazing photo my friend! the only time i visited this wreck was unfortunately without my DLSR, i only had my Nikon F3 and no tripod. The inside of that wreck is pretty cool though, you should take a look if you haven't already. keep sharing your photos are lovely.

Shame about not having the camera when you visited this part of the world, it means you'll have to go back and visit. I've been to this location on a few occasions and always been amazed by this landscape. It is very tricky to get down to the bottom (via the stream) but it can be a bit hazardous once down there. Especially when storms hit, like it did twice when I've visited. Always worth it though. Thank you very much for the comment Mike, and I hope you make it back here one day.

just to clarify... the ship is indeed real and sits in a little cove near Lands end in Cornwall
