Lakmos (or Dove) is part of the mountain range of Pindos and is on the verge of the prefectures of Trikala and Ioannina.
It binds to the test through the neck Mantra Hoxha and the Kakarditsa through Baros neck. Highest peak is the Tsoukarela (2.295 m). The western part of Lakmos belongs to the basin of the River Arachthos and the eastern part belongs to the catchment area of the river Acheloos. The most important source of Acheloos in position Verligka (Vlach mean meander) of Lakmos at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
