We made a spur-of-the-moment photo trip out to Natural Bridges State Beach late one overcast afternoon. The tide was out, and the rock was covered with California Brown Pelicans and seagulls. When I'm shooting flying birds, I take lots of burst sets, and often don't know for sure what I've got until I get it home into post processing. This was one of those right place, right time serendipitous photos!
