The lioness was kept next to him in a much larger open area with grass, trees and surrounded by a creek.
I asked the zoo keeper why aren't they together? He said Mujambi suffered from epileptic-like seizures and the lioness would hurt him if the were put together.
I can't help but wonder if the fits were brought on by being in a small enclosure and the scent of a female on the over side of the fence drove him mad.
