The lighting and color are excellent, not over done, the subject matter of snake vs crane is excellent in the sense of urgency between the two.The composition is good, but I do find my eye is drawn to the right after focusing on the center, and ignoring the left side. The subjects might be better off-centered.

Thank you for joining my challenge! Fits the theme extremely well. Love the sharpness and detail on both Heron and Snake. The only thing that distracts a little bit is the duck on the background. Not sure if you have a series on this but if the snake would be totally free of the duck think it would be even more powerful!

Again many thanks for joining my challenge! And making my job extremely difficult! Although I absolutely love this image in all it's aspects I am sorry you didn't make it to the top. In the end I am looking at what fits the theme best. And this definitely is a struggle it is about who is going to be eaten and not about animals fighting over food....
