This whole trip was really exciting for me as Canadian Rockies was always like a dream place for me. Unfortunately I had a big accident just the day before the trip started. I stepped foot in a knee height snow pile thinking there is a pavement and eventually twisted my knee (welcome to Canada), I was afraid to go to doctor because I thought he might say I can't go for a trip now. I was waiting for my friends to come join me the next day. I had no idea how big the Canadian lakes are compared to Europe and what does it feel like to be in -32° C. I was born and brought up in a city where +25°C is the average temp in winter. This morning I thought it is better to call a cab since I could barely walk, so I called the cab and when I said Vermilion Lake the cab driver replied "Are you crazy? Who goes to the lake at 5am in the morning?" and he hanged up. So I just walked limping down all the way. I am really grateful to my buddy Patrick who was there just the day before and guided me where to go. He told me something like there will be a broken tree branch . Upon reaching the place I was like "Holy Crap! This is atleast 50 times bigger than the lakes I used to be! Where to look for a broken tree brunch".. But anyway I ultimately found the place and the only place which was still melted at that temp. I was there way before the sunrise and I can't express in words how amazing the mood was there. Absolutely no one near me, complete silence and darkness. The sunrise was quite amazing to remember. And surprisingly I enjoyed the temp. I can't wait to go back to Rockies in winter again.

This is why a photographer should always have their camera with them. Opportunities will sometimes pop up, but won't be around for long

Nice sunrise shot with an awesome composition. Good job overcoming some challenges and surviving our cold weather to get this image.

I used to live in Banff. This was one of my favourite views just outside of town. The mountain is Mount Rundle and you have captured the mood so perfectly. Gorgeous image!!!!

I think that may be the best picture of Rundle I have ever seen. Well done
