I always dreamt of seeing the wonderful bamboo forests in China. We had a really exciting and adventurous journey to the south from Chengdu: did not speak their language and when the driver of the almost empty bus redirected us to a taxi, we totally freaked out... Later, the taxi driver became our personal guide - thanks technology for smart phones and translator apps. :) That day was quite foggy but it just added a mysterious extra to the atmosphere. Hope I can give you a little taste of the scents and the spirit of this wonderful place.
