Thank you. Santa Barbara is sort of a sister city to Pretoria, South Africa, where the Jacaranda tree originates.

Beautiful, ethereal and nostalgic. The last time I'd seen a street laced by Jacarandas in bloom, was in Pretoria, when we still lived in Johannesburg, South Africa, hence the nostalgia.

Angela, Santa Barbara has been called Pretoria's sister city and maybe this is the reason. Thank you!

Have you ever seen flame trees in bloom? Thika in Kenia is famous for their flame trees that have flaming red flowers, as the name implies.

I am not sure if our botanical gardens have that type of tree or not. I will look for it.

Your capture of these lovely trees is not only beautiful, but very mysterious. Beautiful color!
