Fun shot! In the future you can try it again, but focusing on the puppy's eye. In this picture the focus seems to be sharpest on the planks. IMHO it's better that you haven't zoomed in; this perspective makes it clear how little (and alone) the puppy is. It tells more of a story than just "cute puppy."
