This shoot is part of a series where I play with light and shadow.
I met with model @roberta_ms5 in the studio to play with light and shadow. Here we had one flash behind the model, close to a white background, creating the soft white spot on the background. A second flash (a compact flash) was used in combination with a light blaster and a metal gobo, placed to the right of the camera, i.e. the model is looking right at it in this photo. The light-blaster in this case creates nothing but a single fine line of light. As no further light source was used, she remains black where the light of the light blaster does not reach her, making her black silhouette visible in front of the lit background.
