Every single moment of work on this photo was more than worth it. I spend more time than I can even wrap my mind around in Photoshop, and just imagining the amount of time and effort you put into this is incredible. My favorite part about this whole image is the son on the father's shoulders. As well as being into photography, I experience a very strong tie to literature, and I could write a novel based only on this image. The reflections on the pavement are breathtaking. I imagine they just got off of a train from wherever their "home" was, and the father hasn't told much to the son about why they're leaving, or where they're going. He just puts the son on his shoulder and smiles up at him warmly, telling him it will be an adventure; just for them. The son eagerly obliges and his father carries him out of the train station into their new life, filled with a whole world of new things.
... whoops, I think I got a little carried away.
To summarize this extremely long comment, I would like to tell you that I idolize your work and that this is honestly one of the most extraordinary pieces of artwork I have ever laid my eyes on.
