This tree in Lake Wanaka is the common postcard content for the town! Not only that, but an elderly gent here in our hostel just told me it's the most photographed tree in New Zealand. A cool fact, and I can see why - it's just beautiful to photograph.
This shot was taken at 6am this morning. I woke at 5am with plans to meet my photographer friend from yesterday for a photo session. I spent just over an hour on the beach before the sun rose over the mountains. During that time, the sky changed colour and the mountains got that lovely morning glow. The pink tones in this photo, while emphasised a little, were naturally there, but only for a couple of minutes. I had to be quick to pick my lens/composition but I'm pleased with the result! That 5am wake up was worth it! :)

It looks like a digitally rendered tree, I do this a lot with photoshop filters->render->tree; lots to choose from if your good at digital art. But if this is a real place; than I need to book my trip immediately, no joke! I have airmiles to spend!!!
