There is one LED panel on a tall stand to the left, just out of frame. It is barely on, you'd hardly even be able to tell, it was so dim. A 25 second exposure brought the light level to almost even with the stars. This gives the even exposure that you see here. All in one photo. I was behind the shorter rock in front and blasted my headlamp on once. That gave the shot some depth, I believe. I am really enjoying this static form of light painting. I used to only use my headlamp but it was so difficult to get an even light painting and nearly impossible to do it the same each time.

This is absolutely gorgeous!! I'll be heading for JT, one of my favorite places in Aug for a milky way evening of shots! We'll be light painting too, thanks for the tip on the LED light and stand. And Congrats on all your wins for this image.
