This was my first time ever shooting the Milky Way…..yes, my first time! Its hard to believe considering how long I have been into photography. Living in Southern California, there are so many city lights, the opportunity to see any stars is very limited. When we pulled up at this location and set up my gear, I looked up at the sky and could hardly believe what I was seeing. There seemed to be more stars than dark spaces and the Milky Way was readily visible to the naked eye. It was like nothing that I have ever seen.
