I managed to capture this photo on my last night, just before my batteries died up in the Canadian Rockies. I spent a great deal of the night taking in all the beautiful scenes and amazing starry night skies. Its sometimes often we forget to take in the beauty in a scene before filling our heads with settings and framing our shots. This particular scene was captured in a single exposure and required almost no processing aside from resizing and a little sharpening for web.

sure, this is a single 40 second exposure. SOOC with no processing other then resizing and some sharpening! thanks

Looks like Bow Lakein Banff National Park the orange light pollution in the distant sky would be from the town of Banff. Nice shot!
