Scene from the house. Fire is now 17,000 acres and growing- about 5 miles away now. Much is behind the mountain tops but flare-ups are seen at times. A much larger wildfire is flanking us and is now 53,000 acres. It is only 1.4 miles from our little town. Update: much of town is now evacuated - an hour after this post because fire is within 1/2 mile of town.
