Because of the large distances between places in the Australian outback, councils have put in or allowed overnight rest stops. Good on them!
We had been driving for 3 days on our way to the Northern Territory’s Devil Marbles this was our rest stop for the night.
I don’t have a name for it. It is somewhere between the Barkly Roadhouse and the Threeways Roadhouse on the Stuart Highway.
I knew the moon was only minutes from rising and had already set the camera using my new 12mm now favorite night lens I took this. Photo.
