Skogafoss, as it is really called, is one of the most elegant waterfalls in Iceland. With a drop of almost 200 feet, it is also one of the tallest and creates a mist that often allows a capture of a rainbow in the afternoon sun. During the month of June, the lupine are also in glorious bloom everywhere on the island, and this meadow framed the falls from the Ring Road quite nicely. The white specs are actually fulmars (similar to a gull) that nest on the adjoining steep cliff faces...and the larger colored specs are people! Shows how much bigger the waterfall is than they are!
