Now this bug is so SCARY looking when you see it. It was hiding between some petals of a Liatrus flower. It was very small, less than an inch. The claws on the front were really what caught my eye. It lies in wait to kill other insects and then grabs it with it's claws and chomps on it with it's very sharp beak. They often blend in with the flowers they are hiding in. I also learned that YOU DO NOT want to be bit by one of these either! CREEPY!!! (there are over 300 species).
