Driving out of the mountains I was struck by the most glorious light in my review mirror. I had to stop and look backwards. The kids were sleeping. The sun was setting. The darkness was coming. The light was trying to escape. All while leaving a breathless confusion of emotions and textures amongst the mountains, stormy yet peaceful landscape.
