The practise of coloring baby chicks has been a novelty trick for a while now. For as long as I can remember I would accompany my father to agricultural trade shows; where I would get myself lost for hours playing with multi colored chickens. Much like me this child was lost or mesmerized by them too, reminding me of myself.
The process is rather easy. Farmers apply food coloring to the egg right before the chicken hatch, where they then boast these beautiful colors until fully molting and eventually resembling regular chicken again.
