It's tough going to a place that is photographed to death and coming away with an original composition. I spent hours the previous night looking for something unique. I found this tree that I planned using for the foreground but had no intention of shooting it like this. I threw on my wide angle and got really low to the ground and this is what I saw on the back of my screen. Immediately, I knew this was the shot. I'm not sure if this has been shot before but if it has, I am yet to see it. As I was capturing this focus stacked image, I knew that the perfectly framed buttes of Monument Valley would provide me with one of my favorite photos to date.
