Marveling at the river Dee is one thing and listening to it seething with exhileration is another, Sal. A month ago I was there (see previous photos) and walked on the rocks poking out of the rather serene water. No such luxury this time. There were many displeased ducks along the banks of the river xxx

Thank you, dearest Daisy... I thought a few seconds exposure would be more appropriate than whacking the ISO to unsavoury settings of 3200 or 6400 and having noise coming out of my ears. I was glad it turned out as well as I was hoping for.

Thanks, Kristina! In conversations I had with others on the messenger here (those who put up with my verbosity), I have likened the photo scene with a "crime scene", highlighting my approach to photography. This is the perfect crime scene for me. To the right the Llangollen Express (Express compared to a 125-year-old tortoise) which exposes you to the old ways of steam and locomotive train engines and transports you to bygone days. We had a little bit of adventure, as our 8-mile journey was delayed on account of the following train breaking down and needing a rescue train to take it off track. We got stuck in Carrog (next photo down) for a while, which in fact did me a favour. To the left the town's icon, the Corn Mill, one of the best pub/restaurants I have ever visited (and I have been to a few), one I called in to several times in my last two visits. It goes without question that after the trauma experienced on the former, a visit to the latter for gastronomic exertions and re-hydration ensued. If you look carefully you can just about discern the balcony (decking area) from where I took the long-exposure photo of the river a month ago (Glow with the flow). You can spend hours writing scripts ar seconds taking a photo and let the sensor paint the picture of a thousand words, With that said, I have already used half the allowance here.

Thanks, Mark! You saw how serene the river was (following photos) a few weeks before that and how swollen now. Believe you me, people do rafting there. I'd rather have a beer at the pub on the left, ha ha ha!

Thanks Dale! If you are referring to the buiding on the right it is the old heritage railway, which operates only during the day on a 10-mile journey to offer you sounds and sights of yesteryear. If you are talking about the building on the left, it is where I spent quite a few quid, for five days in end of August and a long weekend end of September.

Thanks Paul! Great scenery unfolding at that part of the town. One of the things you will always remember about the place is the sound of the river. You just have to experience it.
