The alarm clock screeched at 2:45am and I had that inevitable urge to hit snooze, convincing myself the conditions wouldn’t be right and I’d be better off staying in bed. I’m glad the other voice in my head got me up and out because the conditions were gorgeous. There was no hint of mist anywhere on the route, but at the location it had formed in the valley. A rare summer treat indeed. I’ve got a sequence of images that I’ll share, but this one was pre-sunrise.
