Just a few days ago I ran into a little learning curve when using my new lens (100-400mm) for some landscape photography. I learned that f/9 at 250mm doesn’t quite get a whole lot of bluebonnets in focus with depth like this. So I went back out for redemption(you may have seen in my stories) and captured this scene the way I had envisioned it.
Lesson learned - getting a lens (100-400mm) requires a completely different approach in settings then what I was accustomed to with my typical wide style taken with my 16-35mm.

“Allow your eyes a break from distractions.
Seeing is believing your actions footprint tractions.
•
Regret not the path you wish you’d ventured on.
Fear of the unknown breeds a sheepish daily spawn.
•
Brush stroked skies, the smell of bonnets in the air.
Spring emerging, life flourishing everywhere.
•
Though sometimes this path may be a lonely one...
Cherish the memories that can never be undone”.

Beautiful picture. Are the rails painted white here, or is it just that bright of a reflection on the metal?Just curious.

Nice! Looks like we went to the same spot, but with a bad ankle I didn't walk all the way down.
